Our hospital offers pediatricians and senior general practitioners with expertise in diagnosing, treating, and caring for infants, children, and teenagers who are available and willing to receive your child.

We are proud to offer an environment that is child and family friendly. All our pediatric inpatients are designed to encourage parents to stay with their child in order to ensure their comfort and decrease anxiety. Highly skilled pediatric doctors and nurses offer 24 hour 7 days a week care on the wards.

Outpatient consultations Clinics also can be known as Ambulatory clinics. They are medical services that perform procedures that do not require an overnight stay in a in a hospital or care facility. They may include preventive, diagnostic, or treatment services.

Walk in from 7am to 7pm Saturdays to Thursdays, and from 2pm to 8pm on Friday. We are open through the public holidays.

Many infants, children, adolescents need emergency care every year in Somaliland. Many individuals may not receive appropriate acute care in a timely fashion because of numerous obstacles.

Access to appropriate pediatric emergency medical care is important for children, because substantial morbidity may occur if care is delayed. 

Our Emergency department provide comprehensive acute care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide rapid care for walk-in patients. The health and well-being of children is very important to us. 

Our experienced pediatric resuscitation team deals with emergencies and trauma in the resuscitation bays of the main hospital Accidents and Emergency.

Our state of the art equipped emergency room and highly skilled team of paediatricians, general physicians and emergency care trained nurses ensure that you get the best quality. 

Well baby clinics and Vaccinations

Well-baby clinics, or well-child clinics as they are commonly known, deal with the total well-being of children and family.

Children’s Clinic, well-baby clinics provides immunizations for childhood diseases such as diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, Haemophilus influenzae type b, hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella. The MAS Teaching Children’s Hospital can track immunization and notifying you and your family when shots are due.

The Child development Service is dedicated to overseeing your child’s overall health as they grow. Expect the following when your child attends our Hospital:

• Child development assessment.
• Diagnosis and treatment.
• Specialist consultation.
• Advice from pediatrician.
• Help to children with developmental disorders.
• Speech and Language Therapy
• Occupational Therapy

The service is available to children of all ages.

Surgeries

We have a minimum of four missions per year and have successfully completed over 400 operations of various surgeries and repairs at no cost to all. We hope to continue to carry out and expand the duration these missions in the future. 

Health outreach programs

Our Health Outreach Program service is critical to improving and expanding access to health care across the country.

We do this every year. Many activities involving medical personnel are carried out, each targeting a particular community or region of the country.
